My first publication credit for 2024 comes courtesy of a sale made in February of 2022. It’s been a long, long wait, but I am deeply thrilled to have this story out in the world. The Frost Giants of Maine is a love letter to the Maine storytelling tradition, combining my admiration of the work of luminaries like Marshall Dodge and Tim Sample with a modern fantasy setting. It asks the question what happens when beloved but problematic “indigenous wildlife” are encountered by less beloved and far more problematic “rich folks from away.”
